Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and The Right Nerd, LLC (“Inner Scribe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Inner Scribe application, website, CarPlay experience, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Services

Inner Scribe provides tools that may include recording, transcription, note-taking, summarization, templates, AI-assisted questions, decisions, action items, Drive Briefs, Siri or App Intents, and CarPlay-compatible functionality. Features may change, be limited by device capabilities, or be unavailable in some regions.

3. Recording consent and lawful use

You are solely responsible for obtaining all permissions and consents required before recording, transcribing, storing, or sharing a conversation. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. Do not use the Services to record anyone unlawfully or without required notice or consent.

4. Driving and safety

Do not interact with the Services in a way that distracts you while driving or violates traffic laws. Use voice-based, hands-free, and CarPlay features only when lawful and safe. You remain responsible for operating your vehicle safely. Pull over before reviewing detailed content or performing any task that requires attention.

5. AI-generated content

Transcripts, summaries, decisions, action items, and answers generated by automated systems may contain errors, omissions, or inaccurate interpretations. Review important output before relying on it. The Services are not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other expert advice.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you provide, subject to the rights needed for us to operate the Services. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to violate law; infringe rights; harass, threaten, or exploit others; distribute malware; bypass security; reverse engineer except where legally permitted; interfere with the Services; or process content you lack authority to use.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases made through Apple are governed by Apple’s applicable payment terms.

9. Apple-specific terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Services or their content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the extent required by applicable App Store terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, branding, and documentation, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your failure to obtain required recording consent.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
